Providing therapeutic residential care that helps children and young people feel safe, understood, valued, and supported towards brighter futures.
Therapeutic Residential Care
At MAAR Haven, we support children and young people aged 8–17 with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties arising from developmental trauma, adverse childhood experiences, complex attachment difficulties, exploitation, and significant emotional challenges. Our aim is to provide more than a placement, we provide a safe, nurturing home where young people can heal, grow, and prepare for positive futures.
Trauma-Informed Support
We understand that behaviour is often a form of communication. Our approach focuses on understanding the experiences behind behaviour and creating safety, trust, and emotional growth.
PACE-Informed Care
Our practice is guided by Playfulness, Acceptance, Curiosity, and Empathy, helping young people rebuild trust, strengthen relationships, and develop emotional resilience.
Person-Centred Support
Every child or young person receives personalised support shaped around their needs, strengths, interests, aspirations, and care plan.
Education & Achievement
We work closely with schools, Virtual School Heads, and professionals to support attendance, learning, confidence, and educational progress.
Health & Wellbeing
We promote physical, emotional, and mental wellbeing through healthcare access, positive routines, healthy lifestyles, and therapeutic support.
Meaningful Relationships
Our team builds consistent, trusting relationships that help young people feel safe, respected, valued, and connected.
A Home, Not Just a Placement
